A 5-day course designed to teach managers and oversight personnel how to investigate LER-reportable incidents or accidents in a commercial nuclear power plant to determine their root causes and develop effective means of preventing recurrence.

Topics include: Definitions, Preserving the Scene, Gathering Information, Interviewing Skills, 5 techniques for Analyzing Information, Improving Human Performance in the Workplace, Writing the Report and Oral Briefings. The 5 day course includes a case study which runs throughout the course and includes role-played interviewing with the instructor in a one-on-one environment. Attendees have a directly-applicable learning experience. This course also includes a final oral presentation by the students presenting the findings of their investigation.
